Here is a mixer and cdj style midi control interface for djing. It's usb powered. The reviews I have read have said that it is very robust and can take a beating, much more so than the hercules . The faders are the same ones used in Ecler mixers if that is any indication and the knobs and buttons are of high quality. The buttons light up and some of the knobs are support multiple functions (you can click then to change what paramenter you are controlling, ie for controlling fx instead of eq or whatnot). The drivers are open source and there are drivers for linux.

500 bucks is a lot, some say it is rediculous but this isn't your standard cheap piece of plastic either.

Well... looking quickly at Kontrol-Dj's features, it seems to be a really cool piece of hardware. Especially it seems to have high quality hardware. Open Source support means high quality too! :wink:

I think also that a price of 390-410 EUR could be good for this stuff. It is slightly competitive in the market sector. It will be considered as high class hardware for pro-djs (Hercules Dj Console ~ 250 EUR, Behringer B-Control ~ 200 EUR, Xp-10 ~ 400 EUR for 1 deck or ~ 800 EUR a couple ).
