First of all, what kind of music are you looking for? There are some online mp3 stores, which sell good qulity files, e.g. bleep and beatport. At least beatport is directly targeted at DJs. Some online stores might not allow the music to be performed in public (e.g. eMusic). Read the license agreements carefully!
Otherwise, how about OpenSource / Netlabel music? That's what I did years ago when I got fed up with the legal implications of DJing and sharing mixes. In fact I started my own netlabel for DJ mixes: www.sonicwalker.com

Another thing. I do not have much knowledge about netlabels and CC music. Could you contribute with some answers at this post???
