Peercast OpenJay test session -
2005/06/06 23:20
Hi all.
I'm trying to plan in the next future [b:6783d9b13b]a test session for the peercast streaming[/b:6783d9b13b]. I would like to use only opensource software (as my first task) to mix and arrange some music (starting from open music, CC released for example) and streaming it through the peercast protocol offline. Next test would be a live mixing stream (difficult although).
[u:6783d9b13b][b:6783d9b13b]Anyone interested in playing this with me?[/b:6783d9b13b][/u:6783d9b13b]
The [b:6783d9b13b]reasons[/b:6783d9b13b] for that are:
- entertainment (sure! I wanna amuse myself at first! And you too!)
- showing what OSS could actually do in this software sector. This could give some more reasons, to code for someone and to play with OSS for some other...
- spreading the OpenJay movement (enlsrging the community justifies having better software and better support!)
- more... add yours!
I expect this post to be ignored for a long time by lot of OpenJay visitors. However I'll be happy to have some feedback, a couple of Djs to extend the session time, a couple of graphics to make some cool banner or web annouce and lot of people to interact with! Am I asking little things??
