Soundcard/Controler options on a budget -

Hello,
I'm looking into getting a laptop and doing some Digital Dj'ing.
Now, I'm on a tight budget, so I'm looking for a decent soundcard and interface that'll work under Linux.
From what I've read here, the Terratec 5.1 USB seems to be good quality and it's dirtcheap.
But since I'd also like to get a controler, the Hercules dj console seems a better option. I am a bit conserned with the audio qulity of this last one though. Since I've got loads of vinyl I'd like to samle from and convert into Vorbis Ogg or MP3, I need a good input signal. And for playing in clubs on big soundsytems, the output quality needs to be decent also.
I've also read good things about the Behringer B-Control DeeJay BCD2000. Does anyone know if that one works under Linux? And if the sound-quality is better/worse then the Hercules ?
So any advice on this? What do you think of the audio quality of the Hercules and the Behringer ? Does it compare with the Terratec? Or to something more profesional like the Echo Indigo DJ card?
And if I'd choose for an audio card without controler, what controler would you advise? The Kontrol Dj looks very nice, but that's above my budget.
I read about hacking the Mixman DM2 so that it can output Midi with something called DM2MIDI. This would make it uasable as a controler, but I think it's Windowz only. (-->

Any other cheap controler out there that works with Linux?

Any help, tips, advice would be grately apreciated!
