I'll do my last trial to get OpenJay working.
I had no help in posting news, and I suppose this is probably a platform problem. However I had no feedback in this and no suggestions.

OpenJay.org was born in 2003.
Actually OpenJay has 100 unique visitors per day and almost 200 registered users.

I'll try some other platform modifications to involve the community in the next few months. I suppose that a bad reaction in this can end up the OpenJay story after 5 years.

If someone has suggestions or wants to be helpful... I'm here.

it looks like i found this place in time.

i took the liberty to register the #openjay channel on freenode since it didnt exist. as long as im at work, there will be someone in there and if there is anything else i can do to help, i will (i have a few programs i can add to the downloads section and hopefully, if i can get a video camera ready in time, next month, ill be recording my live performance/talk at my LUG on DJing in GNU/Linux. if the performance is good, i plan on hosting the video up on my server for the time being and maybe post it up on youtube or something.

Thank you Sakuramboo! Please stay tuned. I'm working on OpenJay this December and I suppose there will be a lot of changes!

Hello J Zar and OpenJay community!

I'm so surprised that I didn't think to check for any OS Djing software until 5 or more years of my mixing on computers!!! What did it was when the *moderators* at Deckadance actually told off a customer for being upset over REALLY long updates times... So I thought to myself "Hmm.. maybe I'll just have to make the updates myself."

So here I stumbled.

I downloaded Mixx and played a few hours this night and I think it's a very fine structure and I think I would like to try my hands coding for it. But I'm very new to programming, so i'll see how that goes.

Also, I'm in between semesters at school and I'd be down with helping you keep this site cookin' for little while longer, if you wanna keep it and would like some help.

What's most needed? I'll spend some more time reading around... I know I saw a list of stuff that needs done on the site somewhere so I'll find that and get back to you on it.

Sweet site!! I hope that it, or one like, takes off sometime soon.
BTW.. this site was the first one in Google when i typed "open source DJ software" so that's a good sign. annd ya know, if you do end up pulling, at least you'll get to keep that rockin' DJ Monkey graphic, EH?
